Do I need a partner?
No, but Ladies, please try to recruit a man to sign up with you, even if he is not your partner. If you don't have a partner I still encourage you to come the first night as we may have enough single folks to pair up!
Shoes:
- All you need is a shoe that is comfortable and leather-soled. Rubber soles don't work well because you can't pivot on them, and your shoes will stick to the ground. Ladies...keep the heel low at the beginning, and wear shoes with a back on them; no mules or slip-on shoes, please.
Clothes
- Wear comfortable clothes that won't restrict your movement, and lets your legs move freely! And avoid clothing or jewelry that has lots of dangly things on it that can get caught on someone else's sleeve or clothing!
Do you have to change partners in class?
- No. But if you change partners you will: (1) learn faster (2) be ready if a friend asks one of you to dance (3) have fewer arguments in class!
Late arrivals may be asked to arrange a make-up session before coming to the next class. Let us know if you might be missing a class.
